On the 17th of November, 2006 Uncle Bob and I flew up to the Gold Coast to attend the Hisense Inside Film Awards, the People's Choice Awards.

Never in our wildest dreams did we think we would win the Glenfiddich Independent Spirit Award as well at the Discovery Channel Best Documentary Award. It was very exciting!

We would like to thank every single person who has supported us along the way! The journey of making Kanyini was only possible because of the many generous hearts and hands supporting us. We are very, very grateful.
